We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Groomer to join our team here at Pablo's Pawlour. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our furry clients while providing exceptional grooming services. This position requires a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments. You must be keen to work in a fast paced environment, whilst maintaining high standards of your grooming skills.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for dogs. Assess each pet's grooming needs and provide appropriate recommendations to pet owners. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitising tools and equipment. Handle dogs with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Communicate effectively with dog owners about their dogs' needs, behaviour, and any concerns observed during grooming. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling to ensure efficient operation of the grooming service. Lift and handle dogs safely, ensuring their wellbeing during all grooming procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable. Level 2 and Level 3 Dog Grooming Qualifications are needed. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Knowledge of various dog breeds and grooming techniques is an advantage. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and comfort. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
