We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grooming Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Grooming Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of pets while assisting professional groomers in their daily tasks.

Duties

Assist groomers with bathing, drying, and grooming pets to ensure they look their best. Handle animals safely and comfortably, ensuring their well-being during the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment, adhering to health and safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming services and understanding the needs accordingly. Assist in lifting and moving larger animals as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues and report concerns to the groomer or veterinary staff. Take payment from customers and effectively use the booking system.

Qualifications

Strong background in animal care, demonstrating knowledge of various breeds and their grooming needs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with pet owners. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as needed, along with stamina to stand for extended periods. A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. Pay: 12.21-17.77 per hour
