Job Summary

This is a blended role of regular dog walking/pet visits and ad hoc house sitting. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person with a love for all animals, especially dogs, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Dog Walker & Pet/House Sitter you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our clients' pets while providing them with regular exercise, companionship, care at home, whatever is needed by the customer.

The successful candiate will be able to manage their time effectively, be flexible and adaptable as the business needs change regularly, and have a positive attitude to working all sorts of weather.As a house sitter, which is an integral part of this job, you will be happy to stay in customers houses overnight and for extended periods of time, looking after the animals in your care, and providing a professional service at all times whilst serving the customers needs.

Responsibilities of Dog Walker

- Walking dogs in a safe and responsible manner.

- Ensuring dogs are well-exercised and stimulated.

- Adhering to any special instructions regarding each dog's needs.

- Communicating with managers about the dogs' experiences.

- Handling multiple dogs or solo walks, depending on requirements.

Responsibilities of Pet/ House Sitter

Providing a high standard of care for all the animals in the house.

- Looking after the customer's property whilst the owners are away and adhering to the high professional standards expected by We Love Pets.

- Communicating wirh managers about how the animals are faring whilst the owners are away.

Requirements

Experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred but not essential. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. A Good level of fitness is necessary as this role requires physical stamina and the ability to manage multiple dogs at once in various environments.? A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is crucial. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide updates on their pets. Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required. Ability to stay on own in owners houses for several days, looking after their pets. Must have access to reliable transport to travel between clients and in which you are happy to transport dogs.
