We are a doggy day care company and store looking for a Dog Day Care Manager to head up our growing team!
We operate one of Lancashire's newest and largest dog daycare facilities, located just 10 minutes outside of Preston, Lancashire, where our dogs spend the day playing and socialising in nearly 8,000 sqft of indoor and outdoor space. We are looking to take on a daycare Manager in a new role to help run our Preston centre.
As our daycare manager you are the face of Frankies Doggy Daycare. As key members of the Frankies leadership team, you will be responsible for the enrichment of our dogs and colleagues. You will need to have strong organisational skills to manage and produce theme days and photos for the dogs in our care. You will need to oversee daily enrichment games and activities and also help develop new types of enrichment activities. A strong grasp of social media is needed as you will need to be posting on all platforms to keep our customers updated on theirs dogs and maintaining and growing our membership base. Reporting to the Operations Director you will work side by side to lead the team at a centre level.
The successful applicant must obviously love dogs and be confident in managing and handling large groups of them, must be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, and be honest and trustworthy. You must have a valid UK driving license and own your own car as the collection and drop-off of puppies and small dogs maybe required occasionally (equipment/required insurance will be provided).
Within the daycare, our staff to dog ratio is around 1:8 and you will be part of a team working together each day. You should also be happy working in any weather as no matter how hard it rains, our dogs have still got to be engaged, exercised and looked after throughout the day! All applicants must be eligible to work in this country and provide good references.
All applicants will be DBS checked. Hours of work will vary from 7am until 6.30pm (approximately), Mon- Fri. Some 12 hour shifts will be required as may weekends as and when required. Pay/prospects will rise over time for the successful candidate.

Responsible for:
Daily operational and logistical management of Frankies Doggy Daycare Centre.
Note: Some travel to Manchester will be required from time-to-time to assist with the opening of our new daycare centre.
Assist organising staff rota's and shifts.
Maintain exceptional customer experience and bookings through our online CRM software.
Champion team engagement and motivation daily.
Manage your teams induction and ongoing training.
Support the General manager and take on area responsibilities to support other centers as and when needed.
Work closely with the Operations Director to ensure consistency and growth of the business.
Focus on Dog Welfare and engagement of dogs on a daily basis through structured planning and implementation.
Understanding P&L and financial KPI's.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3 years dog daycare experience required
Minimum
Level 2 Canine Care, Welfare and Behaviour or equivalent
Grooming/Dental experience preferred
Experience managing and motivating a team
Experience working with dogs essential
Excellent problem solving
Can do and proactive and pragmatic attitude
