We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Dojo Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance across the organisation.
This role involves creating and delivering training sessions that are clear, practical, and useful. The Internal Trainer works closely with Section Leaders, Managers, and HR to understand what training is needed and makes sure staff are supported in learning new things, following company policies, and reaching their goals.
Responsibilities
:
Plan, prepare and deliver training sessions for members
Manage induction training for new members by delivering, arranging or facilitating training
Create and update easy-to-understand training materials, such as presentations, guides and handouts
Re-establish and maintain a dojo training room as a dedicated space for learning
Learn from training processes used at other sites to bring in best practices
Adopt and tailor training documentation from other sites to fit local needs and ensure consistency
Build a strong understanding of key manufacturing processes to help explain them clearly to others
Work with Managers and Section Leaders to understand what training is needed and when
Make sure training is up to date with any changes in systems, policies or procedures
Maintain training records
Deliver training in line with plan, reporting on progress and results
Collect feedback from staff after training and use it to improve future training sessions
Support a culture where learning and development are encouraged
Stay informed about best practices in training and suggest new ways to improve FMUK's training
Support Operations with production and/or support tasks when required to ensure achievement of production plan
Confirm effectiveness of training and member development through regular workplace audits
Skills:
Plans and prioritises training activities to meet operational and onboarding needs
Chooses suitable training methods and adapts delivery to learner needs
Updates or tailors training materials while maintaining alignment with company standards
Identifies skill or knowledge gaps and recommends appropriate training solutions
Maintains accurate and compliant training records
Escalates significant training or performance issues to Managers or HR as required
Requirements:
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and health & safety standards, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise
Some experience or exposure to delivering training, coaching, or supporting colleagues is advantageous
Ability to communicate clearly and adapt information to different audiences
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Good organisational skills and ability to manage time and priorities effectively
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues' development
Willingness to work collaboratively with managers and teams to identify and meet training needs
Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
