How you\'ll make a difference

This role will be responsible for designing and implementing payments technology solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and other architects, to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with the overall enterprise architecture. You\'ll evaluate new technologies and make recommendations on which ones to adopt and how to integrate them into existing systems. Additionally, you\'ll ensure that the domain\'s systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. Ideally, you\'ll have worked in a Scaled Agile context, as you will be accountable for the Payments Architecture Runway.

What you\'ll bring

• Experience at a Senior Architecture level with specific Payments Architecture at a UK Bank.
• Strong payments experience - detailed domestic scheme implementation (Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS/RTGS, Open Banking).
• Experience of designing Payments solutions covering - fraud, sanctions screening, case management, Treasury, Reconciliation, API gateway design.
• Solution design experience of Debit Card infrastructures and integration with Core Banking.
• Familiar with UK Payments vendor community, have connections and worked with pay.uk, Open Banking Implementation Entity and UK Finance entities.
• Experience in Archimate and EA repository (preferred) along with an understanding of TOGAF.
• Experience of Cloud Architecture, ideally certified in AWS or Azure to Solution Architect level.
• Good understanding of Event Storming and Domain Driven Design architecture design techniques and ideally will have led and facilitated DDD workshops with stakeholders.
