About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join
Cranstoun's new Domestic Abuse Service in Telford & Wrekin
. As a
Domestic Abuse Outreach Practitioner
, you will provide vital practical and emotional support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse -- empowering them to live safer, more independent lives.
Your work will involve supporting residents in refuge settings, ensuring access to appropriate services, and working with local communities and professionals to raise awareness of domestic abuse issues and prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialist outreach and practical support to survivors of domestic abuse
Ensure client safety and wellbeing through advocacy, planning, and service coordination
Collaborate with professionals and partner agencies to support clients' housing, legal, and welfare needs
Contribute to public awareness and help challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours around domestic abuse
About You
We are looking for motivated and compassionate individuals who:
Have experience working in domestic abuse services or related fields (housing, social care, safeguarding, etc.)
Are confident supporting vulnerable people in emotionally challenging situations
Are passionate about empowering survivors and tackling the root causes of abuse
Can work well both independently and as part of a multi-agency team
Experience working in a
housing or rehousing
context is desirable.
