Job Title: Domestic Assistant

Line Manager: Home Manager

Full Time 20-30 hours P/W

12.25 per hour

Overview:

As a Domestic, you will be part of a dedicated team who provide a comfortable, safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff.

Duties will be varied and include cleaning and general tidiness of a designated areas and maintaining the standards required. Every day will be different, and you will have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.

Main Purpose:

Cleaning and general domestic duties in the Home

Requirements:

To demonstrate good communication skills

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Damp dusting and polishing of furniture, lockers, radiators, skirting-boards, ledges, paintwork etc.

Damp mopping of floor areas and bathrooms, sluice rooms etc.

Collecting and washing of crockery and cutlery when necessary.

Vacuum cleaning of floor and wall areas.

Dust control and sweeping of floor areas.

Dry dusting of walls including high dusting of blinds and curtains.

Holding and storage of all linen to include the tidying of Service Users' clothes in their rooms.

Cleaning toilets and bathrooms, washbasins etc.

Cleaning beds and bed area.

Beverage preparation, serving and assisting the distribution of meals to residents.

Replenishment of soap, towels, waste bags, toilet paper etc.

Spot cleaning of internal glass.

Wiping down glass and tiled surfaces.

Emptying bins and disposing of waste accordingly.

Taking down and re-hanging curtains/nets.

Maintaining floor surfaces with polishing/scrubbing machines.

Cleaning domestic equipment, machines etc. after use.

Any other reasonable duties as may be required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
