Domestic/Housekeeping Assistant

: 20 hours per week. Day shifts available

Pay:

12.25 per hour

Our Home

Argyll House is a light traditional stone building on three floors and has a private patio garden which is well used in summer.

Argyll House is within easy reach of local shops and cafes, Kilmarnock FC, and Howard Park. Most of the residents come from Ayrshire, and many have strong community links. The home has space for 31 residents in the main house and modern purpose-built extension.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a kind, motivated and organised Domestic Assistant to join our team. To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Home is maintained to the highest level and within the Mansfield Care specification.

Key Responsibilities

Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules.Follow all guidance from the registered manager.To contribute to the achievement of the care Home's standards for Housekeeping.To undertake general cleaning tasks, follow and carry out any other cleaning duties as delegated.Carry out laundry duties when required.Ensure the working environment is free from hazards and be aware of the risks when using the equipment.Take responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults

Skills and experience required

Previous non-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial.Ability to operate cleaning equipment in the Care Home.Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments.Communicate effectively with other team members.Display reliability and trustworthiness.
