Domestic Assistant

Job Description
We're looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in a care home setting. This role is essential in supporting the wellbeing and dignity of those in our care.
Key Duties
Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas Carry out daily and deep cleaning routines as scheduled Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals following COSHH guidelines Handle laundry and linen duties, including washing, drying, and ironing Support infection control procedures throughout the home Report any maintenance or health and safety concerns Work closely with care staff to ensure residents' needs are supported Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal space at all times
Requirements
Reliable, caring, and respectful attitude Basic understanding of cleaning and hygiene practices Physically able to perform manual cleaning tasks Good communication and teamwork skills Previous cleaning/domestic experience (desirable but not essential) Willingness to undergo training (e.g., infection control, safeguarding)
