Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within various environments, including residential and hospital settings. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Ensure that all areas are kept tidy and organised, adhering to health and safety standards. Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens and clothing. Handle waste disposal in accordance with established protocols. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the facility. Maintain a professional demeanour while interacting with residents or patients.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or within a hospital environment is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of individuals in care settings.
