Located in the heart of the new Greenlaw Mains community in Penicuik, Glencorse Care Home is a purpose-built, luxury care home set to open soon. Designed with comfort, dignity, and wellbeing in mind, it will provide high-quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 54 residents in beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms.


We're seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team, helping to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Your attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards will play a key role in maintaining a pleasant living space and supporting the wellbeing of everyone in the home.

What We Offer

12.21 per hour Full-time Pension, Paid PVG Uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the home, from residents' rooms to communal areas. You'll carry out thorough cleaning and laundry tasks, manage waste, and ensure all surfaces, furniture, and fixtures are hygienic and well-maintained. You'll also support residents in their daily routines, help them settle comfortably, and collaborate closely with the care team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. By following health and safety guidelines and infection control practices, you'll help the home operate smoothly while contributing to the overall wellbeing of residents.

What We're Looking For

A reliable and proactive team member with strong attention to detail Awareness of hygiene and safe working practices Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support residents Previous experience in domestic work is an advantage but not essential Positive, caring attitude with a willingness to learn
