We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality cleaning and laundry services within the Home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the Home. Keep a high standard of appearance and to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle of each of our resident's. Maintaining dignity and privacy in respect of each resident's personal possessions. The role consists of a permanent contract based on 18 hours per week averaged out over a two-week rolling rota.

Week 1

- 16hrs per week

Week 2 -

20hrs per week

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be directly responsible to the management or nurse in charge of the shift. Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces, adhering to organisational standards. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming and carpet shampooing as required. Disinfect surfaces and high-touch areas to uphold hygiene standards, particularly in healthcare or hospital settings. Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels to ensure facilities are well-equipped at all times. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination. Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning is desirable although not essential. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices which includes knowledge of COSHH. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. Good organisational skills and reliability are essential qualities for this role. Flexibility to adapt to different shifts as required.
