Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious

Domestic Assistant

to join our friendly team at Crossways Care Home . You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will ensure all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard in accordance with our hygiene, infection control, and health & safety policies. Your work will help provide our residents with the comfort and dignity they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out cleaning duties across all areas of the care home, including residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and offices. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times. Safely use cleaning products and equipment, following relevant COSHH and infection control guidelines. Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required. Dispose of waste safely and in accordance with procedures. Work cooperatively with care and maintenance staff to ensure a pleasant and safe environment. Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

Previous experience as a cleaner or domestic assistant (ideally in a care home, hospital, or similar setting). Awareness of infection control and hygiene standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and a positive attitude. Reliable and punctual. Right to work in the UK.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
