We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our dedicated team in our residential care home, Dan Y Bryn in Pontardawe. This is a part time, 18 hour per week position with 3 x 6 hour shifts (9am - 3.30pm) & must be able to work weekends as per 2 week rolling rota If you would like the opportunity to work with some truly amazing people please read on.....

About the role

Dan Y Bryn is the home of 40 residents, all with individual personalities and different support needs including some with dementia.



As a Domestic or Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout, following best practices and guidelines within Health & Safety, Infection Control and ensuring COSHH regulations are adhered to.



A great part of this job is actively engaging residents in conversation and having meaningful interactions with them about their lives and experiences.

Skills and Experience Needed

A background of working within a care, cleaning or laundry environment, desirable but not essential as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

23,587 (12.60 per hour) Enhanced DBS which we will pay for Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed Pension Choices: + Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or,
