To undertake cleaning duties throughout the home which will include:
Residents' bedrooms
All communal areas, including offices, lounge/dining areas
Toilets, bathrooms and hallways
Following a set cleaning schedule of work, which will be completed at a time acceptable to individual residents
To complete cleaning schedules to evidence cleaning that has been completed
To work as part of a team in order to provide the best quality service possible and creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents
To undertake the cleaning in accordance with the home's cleaning schedule
To follow cleaning practices in accordance with Horizon Senior Living Housekeeping policy and procedure
To ensure good hygiene practice with regard to handwashing and the wearing of appropriate PPE and clothing in order to prevent the risk of cross infection
To use equipment properly and with care, observe all health and safety requirements, and reporting any problems or potential hazards to the manager
To undertake any other duties relating to the post that may be required from time to time
To attend any Infection Control, Health and Safety or other appropriate training as required by the Manager
Adhere to COSHH regulations and have a working knowledge of the home's policies and procedures
To be sensitive to service users' social, cultural, and religious needs
To follow GDPR policy and ensure that confidentiality is maintained and information concerning a resident is never discussed with any other person. Any information needing to be shared must be shared with the Manager only in the first instance
To report any problems/changes/complaints concerning the home or residents to the Manager
To maintain good working relationships and communication with all stakeholders
To understand Adults Safeguarding Processes and understand duty of care towards vulnerable adults

Dilution of Chemicals Policy and Procedure
COSHH Policy and Procedure

To work within the standards of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 to ensure that Horizon Senior Living Limited can provide an environment that reduces and minimises the risks of healthcare acquired infections.
