: 12.40 per hour

Hours

: 21 per week | 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Contract

: Permanent, Part-Time | Rolling rota - 3 days on, 3 days off (including weekends and bank holidays)

About Towy Castle

Set in three acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with sweeping views over the Towy estuary, Towy Castle is a 61-bed residential and dementia care home with over 35 years of service. Our home is known for its warm atmosphere, dedicated staff, and respectful, person-centred care.

Your Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll play an essential role in keeping our home clean, safe, and welcoming ensuring our residents feel comfortable and respected every day.

Key responsibilities include:

Cleaning resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared areas to a high standard Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors Sanitising and restocking bathrooms and toilets Disposing of waste safely and hygienically Cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment (e.g., fridges, microwaves) as needed Reporting maintenance issues or hazards promptly Following infection control protocols and COSHH regulations Completing cleaning logs and checklists accurately Respecting residents' privacy and working with discretion at all times

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic role (care home setting desirable) A friendly, respectful, and reliable approach to your work Attention to detail and a commitment to high hygiene standards Able to work independently and follow cleaning schedules Comfortable working around older adults and maintaining dignity and privacy
