Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber / Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong Boiler breakdown and diagnostics knowledge and experience in installing, servicing and repairing gas heating systems and plumbing. a good knowledge of general plumbing in domestic properties. This role requires the ability to work won their own and sometimes in teams of 2 while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

The main work will be in rental properties and local authorities void properties. The right applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all installations and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively and in a timely manner.

Annual leave entitlement 20 days plus bank holidays,

Van provided with a fuel card for work use only,

Flue gas analyser provide.

Duties

Install, Repair and Maintain plumbing and heating systems in residential and void properties. Conduct routine and planned landlord gas checks and repairs on gas appliances to ensure they are working correctly. Perform repairs on faulty gas and heating systems, utilising both hand tools and power tools. Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required during installations or repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including CP12 paperwork, daily job sheets any materials used. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on site.

Qualifications

CCN1 CPA1 CKR1 CENWAT HTR1 Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job requirements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
