Domestic Retrofit Officer

to join our growing team in Dumbarton.

The Role



As a Domestic Retrofit Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting energy efficiency and home improvement projects across the region. You'll verify installations and ensure that all retrofit measures meet required quality and compliance standards.

You'll work closely with surveyors, contractors and clients to make sure projects are delivered in line with PAS 2030, PAS 2035, MCS and SWIGA along with other industry standards.

Key Responsibilities



Verify installation quality for insulation, heating systems, ventilation, and other energy efficiency upgrades Ensure clear and accurate inspection reports and photographic records Liaise with contractors and project managers to ensure compliance with specifications and standards Identify and report any technical or safety issues observed during inspections Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on best practices and lessons learned

About You



Foundation-level knowledge of domestic building construction (Ideally DEA or RC) Understanding of insulation materials, heating systems, and energy efficiency measures Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Can commute to the office daily

Desirable (but not essential)



Experience working within retrofit, energy efficiency, or building surveying Knowledge of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035, MCS and other building standards Retrofit training or certification
