Job Description

To maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and laundry services throughout the care home, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Laundry Duties:

Collect, sort, wash, dry, iron, and return residents' personal clothing and household linen. Ensure all laundry is handled with care and in accordance with infection control procedures. Label and return clothing to the correct resident in a timely and respectful manner. Report any damaged or missing items to the appropriate staff member.

Cleaning Duties:

Clean and sanitise resident bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff facilities as per cleaning schedules. Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively. Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls. Dispose of waste safely and in line with infection prevention protocols.

General Duties:

Follow all health and safety, COSHH, and infection control policies. Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly. Maintain confidentiality and treat residents' belongings with respect. Work collaboratively with care and housekeeping teams to support the overall wellbeing of residents.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
