62 Bed Care Home situated in the Lincolnshire coastal town of Mablethorpe in the county of Lincolnshire. The Home offers Mental Health, Day, Respite, Residential and Dementia Care in a state-of-the-art purpose built home.

Job Purpose:

To be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the home. To comply with Health and Safety and COSHH Standards. To be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the laundry facilities including all linen storage areas and for providing a laundry service which includes the operation of commercial washing, drying and pressing equipment To understand the need to promote the privacy, dignity, independence, choice and rights and fulfilment of all clients.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

Previous experience working in a similar role The ability to communicate effectively at all levels A positive attitude and commitment in providing high standards of housekeeping whilst respecting the individual wishes of clients To provide high standards of laundry duties Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work schedules Ability to work as part of a team and to promote harmonious working relationships by recognising that everyone has a contribution to make. Main responsibilities

To ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the home. To ensure that all bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the building. Process all household linen and clients' personal clothing ensuring that all items are processed at the correct temperature according to the type of fabric and that all items are thoroughly cleaned, stain free & ironed. Returning all household linens and clients' personal clothing to linen cupboards or client's bedroom as appropriate. Ensure that all cleaning equipment/materials are maintained in a safe, clean and efficient working condition. Complete cleaning schedules To understand responsibilities in relation to Fire procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency First Aid.
