Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Administer medication following care plans and protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client conditions. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care at all times. Support clients in engaging with activities to promote mental and physical well-being. Support clients with outside activities when required, such as attending shopping centres and local events. Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided. Driving licence and own care is essential for this role as you will be required to drive to clients homes in Bristol and surrounding areas. Familiarity with care plans and documentation procedures is beneficial Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are essential. Excellent communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
