Job Summary

The Domiciliary Care Assistant plays a vital role in supporting individuals in their home environments. This position involves assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care, while also being able to drive and manage care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and monitor service users care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Communicate effectively with service users', families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care. Support service users to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of service users interactions and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate staff members. Ensure the service user's home environment is safe.

Skills

Experience in home care is highly desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is an added advantage. Familiarity with developing and managing care plans. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. Smart phone for schedules and care document recording.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.40-13.00 per hour
