Job Summary


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide high-quality in-home care to clients with diverse needs. The role involves supporting individuals with activities of daily living, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in their own homes. Responsibilities



Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs as required Support patients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care through specialized techniques Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Maintain accurate care plans and document patient progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to ensure a safe and healthy environment Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Observe and report on patient condition, behavior, and any changes in health status Support clients during outings or community activities to promote independence and social engagement Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to ensure client safety at all times

Skills



Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and medication administration Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities care techniques Ability to assist with ADLs using proper techniques such as the Hoyer lift or other mobility aids Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to work independently while adhering to care plans and safety standards Basic cooking skills for meal preparation aligned with dietary needs Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information Certifications such as CPR and first aid are highly desirable; experience working in nursing homes or hospice care is a plus
