Duties
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in their own homes
Helping with mobility and transferring clients safely from one location to another.
Preparing and serving meals while considering dietary requirements.
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
Assisting with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
Ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to others.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards those in need of assistance.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as required.
