Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The Care Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in their care.

Duties

Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Supporting individuals with mobility and daily routines in accordance with care plans Providing companionship and emotional support to clients Assisting with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams Driving to and from clients' homes or care facilities as required Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines Supporting clients with light domestic chores, meal preparation, and other daily activities

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly Good IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation of care activities Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between locations Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 48 months

Pay: 12.21-18.78 per hour
