We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or providing home care services. Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to residents or clients, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
Assist in the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
Support clients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed routines.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the health or wellbeing of clients.
Encourage social interaction and engagement activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure consistent and compassionate care delivery.
Assist with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning when necessary.
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes.
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
