Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare providers.
Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their safety and comfort while engaging them in meaningful activities.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in case management to provide comprehensive support for clients.
Skills
Experience in senior care or assisted living settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
Understanding of dementia care principles and techniques for effective communication with individuals experiencing cognitive decline.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
