About Lavender Fields Care Village

Lavender Fields Care Village is a self-sustaining retirement community near Pocklington, York, providing high-quality domiciliary care for older people with assessed care needs.

Residents live independently within the care village and receive personalised care and support in their own homes. All care is delivered on-site, meaning no travel between visits and more time to focus on quality, relationship-based care.

Job Summary

We are recruiting Domiciliary Care Support Workers to support older people with care needs living independently within Lavender Fields Care Village. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing, supporting residents with daily living activities in line with individual care plans. This role requires flexible working across 7 days, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality domiciliary care to older people

Support with personal care, washing, dressing, and continence care

Assist with medication support as per assessment and training

Support with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration

Encourage independence, choice, and wellbeing

Maintain accurate care records and documentation

Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures

Work collaboratively within a supportive care team

Requirements

Essential

Right to work in the UK

Clear DBS check - This can be provided.

Good written and spoken English

Basic IT skills

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Willingness to complete mandatory training

Desirable

Experience supporting older people in domiciliary or residential care

Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care - This can be provided.
