Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care or home care, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a blend of practical skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently while ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

Please Note: Hours of work can fluctuate from 10 - 13.5 hours per day

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a caring environment. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Implement first aid measures when necessary and ensure a safe living environment for all clients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care work, particularly in senior care settings is preferred. A valid driver's licence is essential for transporting clients. Knowledge of patient care practices and medication administration protocols is essential. Certification in first aid is desirable. Right to Work in the UK Hold a valid (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificate or be registered with the Update Service (If not already in possession of a DBS you must be willing to undergo a DBS check at your own cost prior to commencing). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility needs. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
