Responsibilities



Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support Support individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management and specialised care techniques Administer medication following prescribed protocols and ensure accurate documentation Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Support families and other healthcare professionals by communicating relevant information regarding patient progress or concerns Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary

Requirements



Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, and behaviour management techniques Certification in first aid is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required Valid driving licence for transportation duties Strong communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed Basic understanding of medication administration protocols Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety regulations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
