Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with specific needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, and hospice care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans. Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and mobility. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being. Support clients with behaviour management techniques when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Assist with heavy lifting and transferring of clients when required. Document all care provided accurately in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable. Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care practices is an advantage. Certification in first aid is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients as needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. A caring attitude towards individuals requiring assistance and a commitment to promoting their dignity and independence.
