Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients through attentive caregiving, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities

Provide personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support Support clients with medication administration following prescribed instructions Assist with meal preparation and feeding for individuals with special dietary needs Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being Manage behaviour effectively and compassionately, especially in cases of dementia or Alzheimer's disease Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean environment Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with organisational policies

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care Relevant skills such as caregiving, medication administration, behaviour management, and first aid certification Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility support Valid driving licence for transportation duties is advantageous Excellent communication skills and a caring demeanour Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required
