Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks designed to promote independence and dignity among those you care for.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a respectful manner that promotes client dignity. Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is preferred. Knowledge of patient care practices and first aid is essential. Experience working in nursing homes or assisted living environments is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring transportation of clients.
