Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our clients, whether they are residing in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or receiving home care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate the ability to handle various caregiving responsibilities.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with Alzheimer's or dementia care. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.

Experience

Candidates should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Assisted living or nursing home settings. Patient care within senior care or hospice environments. Alzheimer's and dementia care practices. Home care services with a focus on individualised support. Previous caregiving roles that demonstrate a commitment to enhancing client well-being. Additional skills such as first aid training, medication administration knowledge, and experience in childcare will be considered advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for those required to transport clients.
