Administer medication and assist with medical appointments while maintaining accurate records of care provided. Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of clients. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transferring between locations. Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns promptly.

Skills

Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or hospice care is highly desirable. Proficiency in patient care techniques, including first aid and medication administration. Familiarity with senior care practices and the specific needs of individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia. Strong caregiving skills coupled with a compassionate approach to client interactions. Ability to drive clients to appointments or activities as required. Competence in meal preparation that caters to individual dietary needs. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
