Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care settings such as nursing homes or hospice care, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with varying needs, including those with dementia. Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients in moving safely. Drive clients to appointments or activities as necessary, ensuring their safety during transit. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the nursing team. Foster a supportive and positive environment that encourages independence and dignity for all clients.

Experience

Previous experience in care roles such as nursing homes or hospice care is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient care practices and dementia care is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility is essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals are crucial for success in this role.

Pay: 10.50-11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
