Responsibilities

Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Engage clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies to promote well-being Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance quality of life Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary Support families and other healthcare professionals in delivering holistic care

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is desirable Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices Certification or training in first aid is advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required Valid driving licence for transportation duties Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach Ability to manage behaviour effectively and adapt to individual needs Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

Pay: 30,525.00-45,269.61 per year

Expected hours: 48 - 50 per week
