We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of clients, ensuring their safety and comfort through personalised care. Previous experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or child care is highly desirable. Duties
Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper techniques
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
Manage behaviour effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Follow care plans accurately and document observations or changes in condition
Requirements
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred
Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
Certification or training in first aid is advantageous
Valid driving licence for transportation duties
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required
Basic cooking skills for meal preparation and behaviour management techniques for challenging situations
