The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering care in the community and possess a full driving licence with access to a vehicle. This role involves promoting independence, delivering high-quality care, and ensuring the dignity and comfort of clients in their own familiar surroundings.
You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, medication support, and providing both physical and emotional care as required.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care to clients in their own homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs and dietary preferences are met.
Prompt and/or administer medication as per care plans, and observe for any side effects or health concerns.
Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling techniques.
Respond to emergencies and provide basic first aid when required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in clients' homes.
Accurately document care provided and report any changes in clients' wellbeing to the care coordinator or nursing team.
Build trusting relationships with clients and their families, encouraging independence and enhancing quality of life.
Travel between client homes in a timely and professional manner -

Experience and Requirements
Previous experience in domiciliary care, community care, or similar care roles is highly desirable.
Confident in delivering personal care and following individual care plans.
Understanding of medication support and basic first aid procedures.
Ability to safely perform moving and handling tasks, including the use of mobility aids.
Strong communication skills with a focus on empathy and client dignity.
Must have a
valid UK driving licence
and access to a reliable vehicle.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards of care.
