Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our domiciliary care team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including seniors and those requiring assistance with daily living activities. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being . The role is part-time, with available shifts from 11:00 to 13:00 and 19:00 to 20:00. You're welcome to select the hours that best suit your availability.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer first aid as needed and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Support clients with medication management as directed by healthcare providers. Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members. Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Requirements

Previous experience in senior care or patient care is highly desirable. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous. Experience working in a nursing home or hospice care setting is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals of all ages, including children if applicable. Relevant qualifications will be considered an asset.
