Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant ( Domiciliary)to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive care and assistance. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a willingness to drive to various locations as needed.

Must reside within a commutable distance of Telford, not to exceed 15 miles.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Drive clients to appointments, social outings, and errands as required. Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure understanding of care plans and preferences. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is prefered. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and families. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is advantageous. A valid driving licence is necessary Experience working in a care home setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
