WEEKEND POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN BOTH CITYSIDE & WATERSIDE AREAS OF DERRY/LONDONDERRY!

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Full training is provided.

POSITIONS AVILABLE:

Saturdays & Sundays:

Mornings 7am-2pm, Afternoons 2pm-7pm, and/or Nights 7pm-11pm

- Hours will be discussed further during interview - weekend staff may work a combination of the above shifts or just one per weekend shift, depending whether they are part-time/full-time

Contracted MINIMUM 8 HOURS PER WEEK

HIGHLY COMPETITIVE WAGES:

All weekend shifts are paid at 14.15 PER HOUR PLUS Mileage at 30p Per Mile

Job Duties:

As a Domiciliary Carer, you will work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care to adults at risk including the frail, elderly and those with mental and physical health issues in their own homes.

Qualifications/ Experience:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.

Good written and oral communication.

Work as part of a team.

Understanding of health and safety in the workplace. Able to promote and deliver personal care.

Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.

Carers must be flexible and able to cover additional hours when necessary.

DESIRABLE:

6 months experience in formal care setting.

NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent.

NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.

Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.

Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Enhanced Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for.
