Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in need, in their homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity while supporting their daily activities.

Duties

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as required. Administer medication and monitor health conditions under the guidance of nursing staff. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.

Skills

Previous experience in patient care, and home care is an added advantage, but full training is provided Strong understanding of dementia care practices and techniques. Ability to perform first aid when necessary and respond effectively in emergencies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach towards clients. Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as required. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while multitasking.
