Job Summary


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including domiciliary care, assisted living and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for clients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and hospice care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.

Duties



Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence. Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort. Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records of medication administration. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary. Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment. Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' mental well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation. Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with behavioural challenges related to dementia or other conditions. Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injury.

Skills



Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments. Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care. Ability to administer medication safely and perform first aid when necessary. Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks as required. Driving licence preferred for transportation duties. Organisation skills for meal preparation, medication management, and documentation. Experience in behaviour management techniques for clients with cognitive impairments or behavioural challenges. This role is ideal for caring individuals committed to providing empathetic support while fostering independence in those they serve. Applicants should demonstrate a genuine passion for caregiving combined with relevant experience in health-related fields or personal caregiving roles.
