Overview

Due to customer's preference, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including senior care and assisted living, and possess the skills necessary to enhance the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication management. Assist individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Implement behaviour management techniques for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Maintain a clean and organised living environment for clients. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant parties.

Skills

Experience in dementia care and understanding of related challenges. Proficient in behaviour management techniques tailored to individual needs. Knowledge of assisted living practices and senior care protocols. Ability to prepare nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and patience. Capability to work independently while also being part of a team-oriented environment. Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting to and between clients.

Training will be conducted for new staff prior to going on field for shadowing.
