Job Summary:



We are seeking a compassionate and self-motivated Domiciliary Dental Therapist to provide high-quality oral healthcare services to patients in their own homes, care facilities, and community settings. This role is essential in improving access to dental care for individuals who are housebound, elderly, or otherwise unable to visit a dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct domiciliary visits to provide preventive and therapeutic dental care. Assess patient needs, formulate care plans, and provide treatment within the therapist's scope of practice. Work collaboratively with dentists, care home staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care. Record and maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and reports. Identify signs of dental and oral disease and refer patients to appropriate dental or medical professionals as needed. Promote oral health and hygiene through patient and caregiver education. Follow infection control and health and safety protocols in non-clinical environments. Transport and manage portable dental equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and sterilization procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:



Diploma or Degree in Dental Therapy (or combined Dental Hygiene and Therapy). Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC). Previous experience in domiciliary care or working with vulnerable populations is desirable. Full UK driving license

Excellent clinical skills within the scope of dental therapy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Working Conditions:



Travel required to patients' homes and community facilities. Occasional lifting and transport of portable dental equipment.

Salary and Benefits:



Competitive salary based on experience. Mileage reimbursement and travel time compensation. Continuing professional development (CPD) support. Equipment and administrative support provided.

Pay: Up to 52,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
