Being the face of Hutchinson at Home and acting as our representative.
Principle responsibilities:
To visit nominated Service Users, at times directed by the management.
To be particularly vigilant for signs of distress or anxiety in Service Users; and deterioration in physical and/or mental health, or safety of the environment, and to report these as a matter of urgency to the office or oncall if outside of hours.

To summon appropriate assistance in an emergency. All actions should sustain, support and enhance the independence of the Service User's as specified in their care plan.
About The Role
Personal Care:
(only where it is specified on the care plan and subject to appropriate review.
Assist Service user's in/out of bed, chairs, etc, using agreed procedures. Assist Service users in turning to relieve pressure areas.
Assist Service User's in (un )dressing, care of aids and personal equipment ( hearing aids, glasses, dentures, prosthesis etc.)
Assist Service Users in all aspects of personal hygiene i.e. washing, shaving, showering etc.
Assist Service Users in feeding.
Assist Service Users to access toilet facilities, empting commodes and disposal of incontinence materials, using agreed health and safety / infection control procedures.
Providing a day sitting service to Service User's.
Managing medication, when this is approved and according to directions in the care plan.
Encourage Service user's to maximise their own abilities and skills.
Domestic:
Where directed, maintain cleanliness of service user's home , to meet with health and safety requirements.
Tidy up rooms, make up beds and wash dishes.
Operate other sources of heating /warmth. Where appropriate home facilities are available, launder and dry clothes/bed linen.
Undertake essential shopping if requested. Always provide a signed receipt.
Where directed prepare or reheat meals provided and /or demonstrate to Service User.
Social:
Actively encourage Service User's according to their capabilities, to participate in all aspects of daily living activities.
Develop and maintain personal contact with the Service User through talking and listening.
Provide support as part of a caring team, liaising with informal carers, other agencies or professionals as necessary.
Collaboration with Other agencies:
Assist the management to maintain good relationships with other personnel involved in the care of the Service User, i.e. Community nurses, social workers. G.Ps, etc as part of the caring team.
General Duties:
As required maintain accurate, legible, factual records and submit the booklets on a monthly basis. Report and record any changes to the service user on flock to keep management and other careers updated.
Maintain confidentiality at all times. A confidentiality agreement must be signed by all staff.
Be familiar with and have a good understanding of Hutchinson at Home policies and procedures. Policy files are in office and signing sheet to confirm you have read and understood these.
Advise service users of the complaints procedures (where appropriate) The procedure is in the service user's folder.
Participate in all training courses, including if offered the opportunity to complete NVQ level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
Comply with the legal requirements contained in RQIA Domiciliary Care Standards, Health and Safety at work etc.
Participate in meetings as appropriate and attend regular supervision sessions.
Any other duties that reasonably fall within the scope of the post.
Care workers should not bring children or anyone else with them when they are providing services to the service user.
Required Criteria
Compassionate and caring disposition
At least six months experience working with patients within a Care Home Setting
Full Clean Driving Licence
Knowledge of Driving a Manual Car
Excellent interpersonal Skills
Ability to work under pressure
