Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant who reside in Ipswich or Colchester to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with health Care professionals to implement care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal care, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility in a timely and professional manner. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with service users, their families, supervisors and other healthcare staff to ensure a high standard of care. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits. Ensure that the environment is safe and clean for all patients. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential (desirable but not compulsory). Maintaining patient records and documentation. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Empathy and compassion towards service user, with a commitment to providing high-quality care. A valid driving licence and a vehicle is advantageous for this role (Mileage will be paid) A valid DBS
