Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in their home environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those under your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are vital for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and concerns. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Support mobility by assisting patients with walking or transferring between locations. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems relevant to patient care documentation.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Full Uk Drivers Licence Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
